If the 'main' leave type's pay element is shared across AU and NZ payrolls, but the units differ in the award configuration for each country, the best thing you can do is create two distinct pay elements for leave cash outs that are specific to each country. This will minimise confusion and remove the risk of incorrect payments being made.

In the pay element masterfile

Either edit the pay elements that will be used for leave cash outs or create the pay element masterfiles if they don't already exist.

For each pay element do the following:

Ensure that the 'main' leave type is selected in the Adjust Leave Entitlement lookup. This is the leave type that will have its entitlement reduced.
Select No from the Add To Leave Entitlement lookup.
Ensure that the Leave Units (Hours/Days) lookup matches the Leave Calc (Hours/Days) lookup in the award masterfile for the main leave type (the one selected in the Adjust Leave Entitlement lookup).
In the Visibility tab, ensure that the NZ pay element can only be used for NZ pay points and the AU pay element can only be used for AU pay points.

In Clever Forms

Employees usually request leave cash-outs via Clever Forms. Create a form for this purpose and ensure that the form is only available to the relevant employees. This is done via the form workflow (either select an existing ESS employee group or create a new one if the criteria doesn't suit).

In ESS security setup

If they do not already exist, create employee groups that contain the relevant AU and NZ employees and give those groups descriptive names that relate to how they will be used in terms of leave in days, and accessing Clever Forms to apply for leave cash outs.
