What does 'leave in days' as a concept actually mean?

Having the ability to manage (capture, calculate, pay) certain types of leave in days is an implied compliance requirement of the New Zealand Holidays Act 2003. And although companies with Australian pay points can pay leave in days if they wish to, it’s not currently a requirement for them.

So, when we talk about ‘leave in days’ we mean the ability to manage leave in day units instead of (or as well as) in hour units.
