Config option 1

If all employees on an award need to paid the ADP rate:

First, configure this in the pay element by ensuring that FBAPS is selected in the Pay Holidays Act Rate Type lookup in the Leave tab.
Next, configure the award by selecting Yes in the Always Pay NZ FBAPS at ADP lookup in the General Options tab.

Config option 2

If all employees on an award need to paid the RDP rate:

First, configure this in the pay element by ensuring that FBAPS is selected in the Pay Holidays Act Rate Type lookup in the Leave tab.
Next, configure the award by selecting No in the Always Pay NZ FBAPS at ADP lookup in the General Options tab.

Config option 3

If most employees on an award need to be paid at the RDP rate and a small number need to be paid at the ADP rate:

First, configure this in the pay element by ensuring that FBAPS is selected in the Pay Holidays Act Rate Type lookup in the Leave tab.
Configure the award to pay RDP by ensuring that No is selected in the Always Pay NZ FBAPS at ADP lookup in the General Options tab in the award masterfile.
For each ADP employee, add the USEADP informational code in their employee masterfile.

You also have the option to create a completely separate award for your ADP employees.

Config option 4

Not really a configuration option, more a method by which to pay employees ADP even if none of the above options are configured. This method is useful when the use of ADP or RDP needs to be determined each time an FBAPS leave type is paid, and is done as part of checks during pay processing.

To set it up, add 1 unit of the USEADP informational code to the timesheet or pay adjustment to ensure that ADP is applied to FBAPS pay elements for that employee for that pay run only.
